Blacken Elves hail from the tropical island of Torlos. Through the constant fear of living under an active volcano and a government rampant with corruption, Blacken Elf culture is built around deceit and paranoia. Through the extended use of aether magic, Blacken Elf skin grew cracked and black, glowing with the dim light of residual magic.

Darkvision. Accustomed to being surrounded by smog or in poorly lit homes, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60ft of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of grey. Paranoia. Due to the natural paranoid and distrusting nature of Blacken Elves, deception checks made against you are done with disadvantage. Master Thief. Many impoverished Blacken Elves have resorted to thievery to get by in life. You are proficient in the sleight of hand skill. Blacken Elf Combat Training. You are proficient with the dagger, rapier, hand crossbow, and leather armor. Tool Proficiency. You are proficient with the tools of your choice: disguise kit, forgery kit, or thieves’ tools. Corrupt Skin. Due to heavy use of aether magic, Blacken Elf skin is cracked and glows in all situations. When not wearing armor, you produce a 5ft radius around you of dim light and have disadvantage on all stealth rolls in which that light could give your position away.
