Duration: Instantaneous
You launch a pulse of radiant energy at a target within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 radiant damage. On a critical hit, the target is covered in glittering silver light, granting advantage on attack rolls against the target until the end of your next turn.
Alternatively, you can launch the pulse at a point in the air within range where it slowly falls towards the ground. Until the end of your next turn, the flare sheds bright silvery light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet.
This spell's damage increases by 1d8, and the radius of the bright and dim light increases by 10 feet, when you reach 5th level (2d8, 30 feet), 11th level (3d8, 40 feet), and 17th level (4d8, 50 feet).
