Materials: a 5-foot copper rod worth at least 10gp
Duration: Instantaneous
You electrify the rod used to cast this spell, and send
a thin streak of lightning at a target within range. The
target must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 3d8
lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much
damage on a successful one. If you are outdoors in
stormy conditions or have taken lightning damage in
the past minute when you cast this spell, the spell’s
damage increases by 1d8.
At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a
spell slot of 2nd or higher level, the damage increases
by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st.
