Antimagic Venom. Witchbane leeches have a venom that inhibits magical abilities in its prey. When a creature is hit with the swarm's bite, it must make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw. If it fails, the creature suffers the following penalties for 1 minute:

  • The creature can no longer cast spells or use any spell-like abilities.
  • Any spells & magical effects that were cast on the creature prior to the saving throw are suppressed for the duration as if under the effect of the Antimagic Field spell. This does not affect any spells & other magical effects cast by another spellcaster on the creature after the saving throw.
  • This does not affect magic items used by the creature so long as the item does not consume magic from the creature, such as spell slots.
The venom's effect can be ended early with Lesser Restoration or similar spells.

Swarm. The swarm can occupy another creature's space & vice versa, & the swarm can move through any opening large enough for a Tiny insect. The swarm can't regain hit points or gain temporary hit points, aside from its bite attack.

Actions

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 0', one target in the swarm's space. Hit: 10 (4d4) piercing damage, or 5 (2d4) piercing damage it the swarm has half of its hit points or fewer. The swarm regains hit points up to its hit point maximum that equals half the piercing damage from the attack.
