Description

Max Arkall is a somewhat known performer, well-liked in certain areas. He has a reputation for being outwardly friendly, yet his personal life is a complete secret and he's rarely seen out of costume. The sympathetic audiences may speculate on his mental health and the burden of fame, but in reality his iconic mask is a parasitic cursed item influencing his actions.   The mask doesn't outright control him, he still has free will technically. Max and the mask have a psychic link through which the mask can express its commands and desires. Should Max fail to express whatever sentiment the mask communicates, he's punished with a physical sickness. The intensity can vary from slight discomfort to like, nearly dying. The mask avoids causing debilitating pain when around others, to not raise suspicion, but Max can still show minor physical symptoms like coughing, bleeding from the nose or mouth, shivers, dizziness. In order to keep him wearing the mask, he immediately develops symptoms upon taking it off and they grow worse and worse over time. He's a little bitch so he always folds and puts it back eventually. The mask also gives him increased durability which they use to perform dangerous stunts during shows.   I don't have a solid personality or motivation for the mask? I think it wants to control Max to the degree that it can become a real person through him, metaphorically. So the things the mask does/makes Max do are less for a tangible goal and more just doing what it wants and solidifying control over his actions and reputation.

If seperated from the mask, Max's modifers become +0   Extra Attack: you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
