Innate Spellcasting. Scellian's spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 16). She can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components

At will:

Acid Arrow. +6 to hit. 90ft range. On a hit 10 (4d4) acid damage, and 5 (2d4) acid damage on end of enemy's next turn. On a miss, half initial damage and no follow up damage.

Fog Cloud. Concentration, Up to 1 Hour. You create a 20-foot-radius sphere of fog centered on a point within range. The sphere spreads around corners, and its area is heavily obscured. It lasts for the duration or until a wind of moderate or greater speed (at least 10 miles per hour) disperses it.

3/day:

Dispel Magic. Choose one creature, object, or magical effect within range. Any spell of 3rd level or lower on the target ends. For each spell of 4th level or higher on the target, make an ability check using your spellcasting ability. The DC equals 10 + the spell’s level. On a successful check, the spell ends.

Amphibious. Scellian can breathe water and air.

Legendary Resistance (2/Day). If Scellian fails a saving throw, she can choose to succeed instead. OPTIONAL***

Magic Resistance. Scellian has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Multi-Headed. While Scellian can see in all directions, and has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks, which applies to its passive Perception score. It also has advantage on saving throws against being blinded, deafened, stunned, and knocked unconscious.

Actions

Multiattack. Scellian can use its frightful presence. She then makes three slam or tentacle attacks. She may substitute a bite for one of those attacks. She humanoid form, it may instead make three weapon attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 15 ft., one grappled target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) piercing damage, and 7 (1d12) necrotic damage, and the target can’t regain hit points until the end of its next turn

Tentacle. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 5) bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 15). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained. Scellian has eight tentacles, each of which can grapple one target.

Poisoned Dagger (humanoid form only). Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one creature. Hit: 11 (1d4+5) piercing damage, and 9 (2d8) poison damage.

Frightful Presence. Each creature of Scellian's choice that is within 100 feet of Scellian and aware of it must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature’s saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the scylla’s Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.

Change Shape. Scellian magically polymorphs into a Small or Medium female humanoid, or back into her true form. Scellian loses its bite and tentacle attacks but can wield weapons or make slam attacks as appropriate for its form. Her statistics are otherwise the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn’t transformed. She reverts to her true form if she dies.

Legendary Actions

Scellian can take 2 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Scellian regains spent legendary actions at the start of her turn.

Tentacle. Scellian makes one attack with her tentacle.

Bite (Costs 2 actions). Scellian makes one attack with her bite.

Spell (Costs 2 actions). Scellian uses one of her spells.
