Homebrew
The Ovinar are a race of wool-covered, horned humanoids who dwell in rolling meadows, cliffside pastures, and ancient hills. Often mistaken for harmless pastoral folk, the Ovinar are quietly powerful—resilient, perceptive, and bound by deep tradition. Their society is built around kinship, storytelling, and balance with the land.
Though peaceful by nature, the Ovinar do not flee from conflict. When danger threatens their flock or their homeland, they charge like a storm, their horns lowered and their resolve unshaken.
Woolen Resilience (Choose between Woolen Resilience or Fleece Defense)
Woolen Resilience You are adapted to harsh weather. You gain resistance to cold damage, and you have advantage on saving throws against extreme cold environments.
Fleece Defense (Choose between Woolen Resilience or Fleece Defense)
You have a pair of rounded ram horns you can use to make unarmed strikes. On a hit, they deal 1d4 bludgeoning damage + your Strength modifier. When you use the Dash action, you can make a horn attack as a bonus action.
Curling Horns
While wearing no armor, your thick wool grants you a base AC of 12 + your Dexterity modifier. You can still benefit from a shield.
Sure-Footed
You have advantage on saving throws made to avoid being knocked prone.
Woolen Buffer
Once per turn as a reaction, when a creature hits you with a melee weapon attack, you can reduce the damage by 1d6 as your dense wool cushions the blow. At 10th level, this reduction becomes 2d6.
