Canary
Flight: Avians have a flying speed of 30 feet. They can only fly if they are not wearing medium or heavy armor.
Talons: Avians deal unarmed strikes with 1d4 slashing damage.
Soothing song: Songbirds can cast Calm Emotions once per long rest. Charisma is their spellcasting ability.
Melodic memory: Songbirds have advantage on Performance checks using their voice.
Canary in the coal mine: Canaries are resistant to poison and immune to gas-based effects (such as stinking cloud, cloudkill, etc.) once per long rest. They can emit a high-pitched alarm trill as a bonus action, granting all allies within 15 feet advantage on saving throws against being surprised or frightened until the start of their next turn. They gain advantage on Constitution saves to resist choking or suffocation.
