To accustom yoiur body and mind to a specific magical essence you spent a long time exposing yourself to it over and over again. Choose one magic type: acid, cold, fire, force, lightning, necrotic, poison, psychic, radiant, or thunder. You gain the following benefits:
Empowered Essence. When you cast a spell or use an ability that deals damage of the chosen type, the DC to resist it is increased by 1.
Magical Bane. As an action you can weaken one creature within 30 feet of you that you can see. The target must succeed on a Constitution save against this magical effect or become vulnerable against the chosen type for 1 minute. Creatures with resistance or immunity against the chosen type are immune to this effect. The DC equals 8 + your proficiency modifier. An affected target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. Once you use this ability you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
Resistance. You gain resistance to the chosen damage type.
