Description

In the Goblinoid armies, after the emergence of the typical Swordsmen, unique Goblin tribes and eventually, clan-sized organizations began to show stellar qualifications in martial activity. Trained swordsmen became the talk of the sloms, and as a significant clan held its relevance even now, its troops were hardened in the years as of late. The clan of the Deffgobs has been present in the history of the Berhailian continent and has been involved in activity across the entire landscape. Some of their troops have shown exceptional qualities in combat, and maintain a dangerous level of dedication and devotion to ritual combat in war.   In battle, the Deffgob Swordsmen are some of the scariest soldiers for a typical commoner or soldier to face. They possess, along with the skrap armor of their kind and the uniquely created shields of their species, what have been called "Death Masks", or masks that show the faces of their own gods. It's more than just decorative, it seems to instill a genuine fear within the footsoldiers of the Goblin enemies. They have been said to assault the lines of enemy soldiers and send them running, even if momentarily. As a result of this, they have been considered by the Goblins as part of their first line of attack.   Deffgob Swordsmen are Level IV Goblins.   Gear: Pinkraz (Longsword), Skrap Armor (Medium), Znarcisheld (Shield), 6 GP.

Suggested Environments

All Deffgob Swordsmen rely on the efficacy of their military and will tend to the armies as best they can. As a result, they are seen most often with their own kind in the form of camps, battlements, forts, towns, and many more locations of urban contexts. Aside from that, they are also found rather regularly in forests, plains lands, flatlands, tundras, mountains, and colder climates. In addition, they are found in caves, mines, and underground chambers and temples.


Unique Traits.
Regimented.
Deffgob Swordsmen deal extra damage if they are within ten feet of their allies. Their allies must not be incapacitated or prone. Deffgob Swordsmen deal extra 5 slashing damage.
Setting an Example.
Deffgob Swordsmen exemplify their prowess and military might when there are lower degrees of Goblins nearby. When Goblins of Levels III or lower are present on the battlefield, they add 1/2 proficiency to their attack rolls.
Death Mask.
Once per combat, a Deffgob Swordsman makes a target take a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of the Deffgob's next turn.

Actions

Multiattack. A Deffgob Swordsman can make two attacks with their Pinkraz, the longsword they have available to themselves.

Pinkraz. +4 to hit, single target. 5 ft. range, 9 2d6+2 Slashing damage.
