Lacerate
1-level Evocation
A blade of force reaches from your fingertips towards a creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 3d6 slashing damage. If this does more damage than is necessary to reduce the creature to 0 hit points, you may target another creature within 15 feet of the previous target, making a new ranged attack roll. On a hit, that creature takes any excess damage. You can keep targeting new creatures until all of the damage has been absorbed.
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd-level or higher, you do an additional 2d6 slashing damage for each slot level above 1st.
