5-level Evocation
You conjure a 15-foot high post and a pile of kindling at a point on the ground within range. One medium or smaller creature of your choice within 5 feet of that point must succeed on a Strength saving throw or become restrained, as animated chains bind it to the post. The kindling then sets alight, becoming a roaring pillar of flame.
For the duration, a creature that starts its turn within 5-feet of the post, or enters this area for the first time on its turn, must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 10d6 fire damage, or half as much on a success. A creature restrained by this spell or within 5 feet of the post can use their action to make a Strength (Athletics) to break the chains. A shapeshifter that takes damage from this spell returns to their original form.
A creature killed by this spell turns to ash. The post and kindling are consumed by the flames when the spell ends.
