You have an abnormally high pain tolerance. This means that whenever you receive shock due to injury, you reduce the gained shock by the value of this trait (minimum of 1). In addition, you may use this trait in order to ignore pain such as when you are being tortured or to break through your debilitation from injury, effectively cancelling out a number debilitation points equal to the value of this trait. You may only attempt to break through your debilitation once per day, regardless of value in the trait.
The trait does not provide any bonus value beyond cancelling out debilitation however. If you have +4 and you only have -2 modifier due to injuries, you cancel out those 2 points, but gain no additional bonuses.
