An Essence Hound can roughly track any creature touched by the Gods.

Bite. Melee Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. hit: 4 (1d4) piercing damage.The target must also pass a DC 12 Strength Saving Throw or be grappled and knocked prone the grappled creature may make this save again at the beginning of their turn to break the grapple. At the beginning of each turn, if the Essence Hound is still grappling a target it must use Devour Essence. Devour Essence. Melee Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. hit: 1d6 Necrotic Damage. the target must also pass a DC 14 Constitution Saving Throw or be afflicted with Severance
If a Wolf, Warg or other variety of canine remains in the presence of an Orc raiding party for long enough they begin to change, warping into a creature that, like the Orcs around them require the minute Essences of the Gods that reside in all living things. This hunger is far greater for the Hounds, allowing them to follow the path of those touched by the gods with ease.
