Feywildling

The Feywild by its very nature is a wild but beautiful place that is a mirror, a prism, and an echo of the Material Plane. Known as the realm of faeries, of the fey, it is not without its dangers. Mortals who may call this place home such as Elves, Half-Elves, and sometimes even lost Humans may be referred to as "Feywildlings". These people are those who were either born or at least raised in this fantasical landscape and are all too familiar with both its splendor and its horrors, they make excellent guides through this Plane in dealing with its twisted landscape and strange creatures. In addition whilst living here they learn Fey music and Elvish sword dancing, how to play an Elvish instrument of some sort and how to wield a Rapier. Some may even set out to become adventurers themselves in order to see the wonders and terrors of the Material Plane and beyond.

Feature: Feywild Guide

In the Feywild many strange magicks exist and tend to twist and warp the mind as one travels throughout it and especially if they try to leave. While traveling in the Feywild, you and your party so long as you stay together cannot become lost or confused and you all have advantage on Wisdom saving throws. In addition, when attempting to leave the Feywild and you and your party may need to pass a Wisdom saving throw against Memory Loss (DC 10) and you all have advantage against that when you are together. If you or any of your party members have Fey Ancestry, it's an automatic success for those with that trait but all others must still make the saving throw though. (See Dungeon Master's Guide).

Suggested Characteristics

Use the tables for the far traveler background (see Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide) as the basis for your traits and motivations, modifying the entries when appropriate to suit your identity. Your bond could be associated with your ties and your love for the Feywild and its majesty, or how you want to share the loveliness of your Plane and your people with the Material Plane and beyond, or how excited you are to see and experience new splendors. The ideal you embrace largely depends on your worldview and your motivation for exploring and leaving the Feywild behind to see the Material Plane, and your flaw reflects your ignorance and confusion to the Material Plane and its inhabitants's social constructs compared to the natural laws and magicks of the Feywild
