Spellcasting. The bard is a 5th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 14, +6 to hit with spell attacks). It has the following bard spells prepared:

At will: Cantrips (at will): friends, mage hand, vicious mockery
1st level (4 slots): charm person, healing word, sleep, thunderwave
2nd level (3 slots): invisibility, shatter, zone of truth
3rd level (2 slots): bestow curse

2/day: Taunt. The bard can use a bonus action on its turn to target one creature within 30 feet of it. If the target can hear the bard, the target must succeed on a DC 12 Charisma saving throw or have disadvantage on ability checks, attack rolls, and saving throws until the start of the bard’s next turn.

3/day: Bardic Inspiration. The bard can inspire others through stirring words or music. To do so, he uses a bonus action on his turn to choose one creature other than himself within 60 feet of him who can hear him. That creature gains one Bardic Inspiration die, a d8.   Once within the next 10 minutes, the creature can roll the die and add the number rolled to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw it makes. The creature can wait until after it rolls the d20 before deciding to use the Bardic Inspiration die, but must decide before knowing whether the roll succeeds or fails. Once the Bardic Inspiration die is rolled, it is lost. A creature can have only one Bardic Inspiration die at a time.

Jack of All Trades. The trial caster bard can add half his proficiency bonus, rounded down, (+1) to any ability check he makes that doesn’t already include his proficiency bonus.

Actions

Shortsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage.   Shortbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 80/320 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage.

Trial Casters are members of te courts in Collibus. They provide the truth in a trial, creating a Zone of truth area from their music. Usually there are 5 of them in a trial, to ensure the defendants and witnesses are under the spell. They wear a chain shirt over a white hooded vest, reddish brown leather gloves and leather boots of the same colour. Their face is covered by a white cloth hanging from their hood that allows them to see through while disguising their features.
