S01E54 - Season 1 Epilogue

General Summary

Cybelle 22nd, 1870 Late Evening

Following the events of the Black Tower and the Kraken, Commander Artemis Ashton and Captain Maximus "Max" Orion Hawkes send the The Felix Squad to make a sweep of the Cruiser referred to as "The Kraken"

Once the vessel is deemed safe, Commander Artemis Ashton dislodges the Wavepiercer from the body of the vessel and with the help of the The Felix Squad and Lucinda Ned Brewer the ship is towed from the south of Edison Island south to Streamfall Island to be moored outside of Port Lovelace in the Gulf of Ada.

The Lanterns are escorted to Port Lovelace where Mayor Istra Bellweather (see Port Lovelace ) settles them in the two story wooden cabin overlooking the town and the Gulf of Ada, owned by Captain Maximus "Max" Orion Hawkes.

The Lanterns will have the opportunity to rest and walk the town if they wish to meet the locals (see Port Lovelace) and rest away from the heat of battle.

The Wall Breached

Fighting at the flooded streets of the Wall continues through the night but eventually the Kelean Mandate and Leidenstein Consortium forces, exhausted, without any reinforcements or supplies or a way to retreat, surrender to the Kingdom of Espen Knights and the Eldwell Navy marines. The Stormwatch District defended by the veteran Radiant Shield Imperial Guard is never taken.

The Archipelago

Through the night, fighting continues across the waters as the fleets clash in open battle and a series of scattered skirmishes. The Kelean Mandate’s Submarine fleet organizes a fighting retreat, resisting as it withdraws by laying minefields and inflicting as many losses as possible on the soldiers along the surrounding island shores.

In the radio late at night

it is mentioned that that the invading forces lost most of their supplies during an attack orchestrated by the Stargazer Exploration Company "SEC" and the Lantern Society agents means that forces around the islands can no longer fight. Many of them managed to escape but a good amount of the Kelean Mandate soldiers surrender and sent to a currently-built concentration camp in Sharptooth Island's Broken Tooth Holme soutth-east of the main islan run by the Eldwell Navy 1st Fleet Marines.

Cybelle 23rd, 1870

The Archipelago

The battle of the western front started when the LCB Bauden's fleet was engaged in a bloody battle with the 1st Eldwell Navy fleet and the 2nd Thierry Free States fleet that sees both forces gravely wounded

With the arrival of the Yun Sacred Empire 1st fleet the remaining Leidenstein Consortium forces retreat

In the late evening of the 22rd the 1st Yun fleet pursues the fleeing forces and attacks strugglers, according to afternoon reports their fleet is separating and attacking small detachments of the Leidenstein Consortium fleet heading east.

There are no current reports of any Kelean Mandate submarines any longer, the 3rd Eldwell Navy fleet is mostly engaged in search and rescue of both allied and Kelean/Leidenstein struggling forces that are led to the concentration camp

The Destruction of Volirath

With no navy to support them the remaining Kelean Mandate forces at Volirath Island surrender but not before they cause untold damage to the infrastructure of the grain basket of the Empire. Farms, greenhouses and water infrastructure lays burning when the Allied armies enter the crater.

Terrawatch in Flames

Terrawatch Island factories are burning, the industrial heart of the city has been greatly and severely damaged. The Unions-Firefighters from Edison and Rookhelm Island are now at the scene to extinguish the fires consuming the district. While they have to choose which factory should take their attention first, they make some quite deliberate choices to leave the factories of "Traitors" burn to the ground.

The last of the Kelean Mandate soldiers are rounded up but many cultists that remained hiddedn attack Union workers. The skirmish ends up being very deadly with over 200 people dead and another 300 wounded.

Local Stargazer Exploration Company "SEC" units help through the day by providing security and medical attention to the wounded.

The flames are visible from the surrounding islands and will continue to be until early in the morning at the 24th...

Cybelle 24th, 1870

As the Navy Marines are trying to put order to the city and coordinate the efforts of repairing damages and putting out fires Martial Law is full effect and a curfew is set allowing only military personnel and Imperial Officers to walk the streets between the hours of 30th and the 8th

Lord-Count Robert Asahel Boodle orders the opening of the Strategic Grain Silos and sets a rationing system prioritizing the most vulnerable families.

In addition he puts out a general call to all citizens to help with repair of the outer water defenses of the Wall District and calls upon the Eldwell Parliament to conviene for the last time before elections at the 2nd of Diene , 1870.

The Lanterns are invited to join the War Council of the 25th in the morning with all the Fleet and Forces representatives.

Cybelle 25th, 1870 - The Allies Conference

Morning

Priscilla Philomena Modesty Featherstone arranges a meeting with Uozumi Haru 13th hour of the 26th of Cybelle.

The party asks and finds out that Lilly Almira Pott was ;ast seen on the 19th (3 days after the Siege started) entering the Augustus Estate and leaving again shortly.

The War Council

Meet with the addition of the Lantern Society, Captain Maximus "Max" Orion Hawkes representing the Stargazer Exploration Company "SEC" and Erastus T. Melrose representing, unofficially, the Claws

Discussion

1. The Empress awards us the Shield of the Eld - giving us the Lieutenant Commander (honourably discharged) to all Lanterns that took part in the operations before and during the Siege
2. The 1st Eldwell Fleet with Yun 1st Fleet will go to the north to take back the Yun lost cities.
3. The 2nd Fleet will go south towards Lilianth to assist the Thierry States 2nd Fleet.
4. The 3rd Fleet will remain in Edison to protect it.
5. What will be done with the prisoners of war - the Espen Queen suggested she makes them work in the Espen mines “it’s more than they deserve“ she says. Bouchard suggested he sends them in a remote, isolated island in the Thierry States. Shin Han suggested he buys them. Boodle says he will keep them here, away from the navy and return some to their families after the war.
6. The SEC will claim the “Black Tower” since they organised the attack on Dentpeak Island
7. Tomorrow morning, Prince Shin Han and the 1st Fleet will be leaving for the north.
8. Boodle announces to Effie that she will lead a new organisation that will research, procure and investigate the new (old) technologies that have appeared around Nyria.
9. Claws Lawyer - Erastus, large man with rosy cheeks and beady eyes. Compensation and legal rights will be given to the Claws for their involvement.
10. Prince Shin Han talks with Priscilla. She asks what the gift he last left her with means and he says she should visit Yun and find out there. He also suggests Priscilla takes the rest of the party.

Afternoon

The Lanterns are planning to go to the Talis base to take over it. They found out that Stargazer Exploration Company "SEC" has already taken over the island.

Captain Maximus "Max" Orion Hawkes informs them that the Kraken ship is being decommissioned and torn to pieces as it is being researched.

Evening

Finding Cassia

Cassia’s disappearance from Barrogate (taken in the first day of the siege of Barrogate)

Lucinda Ned Brewer and Theo Osborne are heading to Barrogate Island to search for Cassia

Someone who he owes money to asked him to look into - he is one of the drivers for the Rooks. On lookout for three days now. The man who he was talking with is Jack. The Rooks are in the Black Sheep dive bar in Barrogate. Jack is sleazy, black hair, green eyes and a stubble. He also stinks.

They find out the "Jack" of The Rooks had someone looking over who is going to be searching for Cassia. They found out that Lesley a man who owed money to Jack was meant to check and report via radio. They also find out that Jack is frequent the Black Sheep Dive Bar. They engage Jack and learn that he sold her to the Kelean mandate Captain Franklin (something). She was taken on the 23rd of Cybelle and was handed over on the same day at the submarine called Telemis. Theo Lucinda and Priscilla capture Jack and give him to the Radiant Shield Imperial Guard Barracks in Solspire District to Ltn. Commander Christian Ólafsson. He founds out that Cassia was considered a traitor but he manages to arrange for her release.
