Ability Scores

There are six Ability scores. Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Will and Charisma. Each of them determines the general aptitude of a character. Ability scores are used to determine the base value of how good a character is good at something or how good they are in defending against something.

Resistance modifiers

The modifier or an ability score is used to determine how hard it is for someone to make an action against someone else on a skill or broad skill under this Ability.

Example
Alex has a Dexterity Score of 14 giving her an ability modifier of +2. that means that when someone is trying to shoot At Alex they will have to add a modifier of +2 (+/- any other modifiers) to their situation die to determine if they were able to land a bullet on them.
