Gideon Cross serves as the senior member of the ship’s small security contingent. A former colonial peacekeeper, he brings years of experience dealing with frontier disputes, smugglers, and dangerous wildlife.
Cross is calm, patient, and remarkably difficult to provoke. Unlike many security professionals, he believes violence represents a failure of planning rather than a solution. When confronted with a problem, his first instinct is usually to talk.
The crew trust him because he never exaggerates risks and never panics during emergencies. If Gideon says something is dangerous, people listen.
