While the sword remains motionless and isn't flying, it is indistinguishable from a normal sword. Kaito's Sword of Life Stealing. When the flying sword attacks a creature and rolls a 20 on the attack roll, that target takes an extra 3d6 necrotic damage, provided that the target isn’t a construct or an undead. The flying sword gains temporary hit points equal to the extra damage dealt.
