Cockatrice Saliva

Poison

Varies Arcane, Transmutation

Creatures whos wounds are exposed to this saliva by a creature, object, or weapon must succeed on a DC 11 constitution saving throw.

Failing this save begins to magically petrify the effected creature causing it to gain the restrained condition. It must repeat the saving throw at the end of its next turn. On a success, the effect ends. On a failure, the creature is petrified for 24 hours.

This is not considered poison or venom for the purposes of resistances and immunities

This thick and stringy saliva easily coats whatever it is smeared upon. leaving it on skin or other organic materials, like wood, slowly petrifies the area of contact, changing the material to stone for several hours. This is cockatrices magical saliva, and it is most potent when directly forced into a creature through injuries, causing them to quickly turn into stone after only a few seconds, and lasting for a whole day. Many who play the political games of Erador use Cockatrice saliva as a way to remove a rival from play without killing them, so that their plans can go undisturbed for a short while.
