Corrupted Blood

Poison

Rare

Poison (injury)

Description.

This small vial contains a dark, viscous fluid that swirls with unnatural life. Vein-like tendrils of black and deep violet pulse within, and a feral, acidic scent wafts from the stopper. The liquid visibly recoils from light and sears living flesh it touches.

Application.

As an action, you can apply one dose of Corrupted Blood to a slashing or piercing weapon or up to 5 pieces of ammunition. The poison remains potent for 1 minute or until it deals damage.

When a creature is hit by a weapon or ammunition coated with this poison, or consumes the poison, they must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. A creature already affected by this poison, or immune to it, cannot be affected.

Saving Throw Results
5 or lower. The creature takes 1d4 necrotic damage, becomes poisoned, and is blinded beyond 30 feet for 1 minute.
6 to 14. The creature takes 1d4 necrotic damage and becomes poisoned for 1 minute.
15 or higher. The creature resists the poison. It suffers no effect and becomes immune to Corrupted Blood for 24 hours.
