Jimson Oil is a type of paste created by the frog people of Flyjumper village to prevent the effects of the poisonous Lophora leaves. The oil is derived from Jimson plants, which are found in the underbrush around Flyjumper village. The plants are ground and up smeared across the body where the oil is then absorbed through the skin. Along with preventing the dangerous poison of the Lophora leaves, they also have the frightful side effect of causing a creature to hallucinate.
After 1d4 hours, a creature affected by Jimson Oil begins to hallucinate frightening visages from it's past. At the start of a creature's turn, a hallucination only it can see materializes at a random point within 30 feet of it (this can be decided by the DM, or by rolling a d8 for direction and d6 multiplied by 5 for distance). The creature may dismiss the hallucination by touching it, or otherwise proving it is not real (such as firing an arrow or throwing a rock through it). If the hallucination has not been dismissed at the end of the creature's turn, that creature takes 1d4 psychic damage and the hallucination fades. This effect wears off after 12 hours. A creature under the effect of Calm Emotions is not harmed by the hallucinations and can dismiss them as irrational.
