Weapon
Legendary Cycle of Life
Blooming Shot:
When you hit a creature with this weapon, the impact causes blooming flowers to erupt at the point of contact, dealing an additional 2d8 radiant damage. If the creature is reduced to 0 hit points, vines sprout from the ground, holding the corpse in place and creating difficult terrain in a 10-foot radius around it.
Nature’s Wrath:
As an action, you can fire an enchanted arrow that splits into multiple glowing projectiles. Choose up to five creatures within 60 feet of the original target. Each creature must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw or take 4d10 radiant damage. On a successful save, they take half damage. This ability can be used twice per long rest.
Verdant Barrage:
As a bonus action after making an attack, you can summon a rain of glowing seeds in a 30-foot radius centered on a point you can see within 120 feet. The seeds burst into radiant flowers, dealing 3d6 radiant damage to hostile creatures and healing allies in the area for 2d6 hit points. This ability can be used three times per long rest.
Grace of Lehana:
While wielding Sylvanstring, you can cast Pass Without Trace and Speak with Plants at will.
Enhanced Properties (Post-Attunement)
When attuned, Sylvanstring unlocks its full potential, binding itself to the wielder’s life force and amplifying their connection to nature.
Sylvan Empowerment:
The bow’s damage increases to 1d10 + 4d10 radiant damage.
You gain resistance to necrotic and poison damage.
Flourish of Life:
When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with this weapon, the burst of flowers releases healing energy. Allies within 30 feet regain hit points equal to your Dexterity modifier + your proficiency bonus.
Eternal Bloom Shot:
Once per long rest, you can fire an arrow that grows into a massive, magical tree upon impact. The tree creates a 30-foot radius area of lush greenery for 1 minute. During this time:
- Allies within the area are immune to being frightened or charmed and regain 10 hit points at the start of their turns.
- Hostile creatures treat the area as difficult terrain and must succeed on a DC 22 Strength saving throw at the start of their turns or be restrained by roots.
Special Ability: Verdant Cataclysm
Once per long rest, you can invoke Sylvanstring’s full power to summon a devastating surge of nature’s wrath. As an action, you fire a radiant arrow into the sky, calling forth a storm of golden leaves and glowing flowers in a 120-foot radius.
Hostile creatures in the area must make a DC 24 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save:
- They take 12d10 radiant damage and are blinded for 1 minute.
- On a successful save, they take half damage and are not blinded.
- Allies in the area regain 10d10 hit points, are cured of all conditions, and gain immunity to necrotic and poison damage for 1 minute.
- The area remains enchanted for 24 hours, becoming a haven for nature’s growth and providing a +2 bonus to AC and saving throws for any creature aligned with nature.
The Sylvanstring is a longbow carved from a single branch of an ancient, enchanted tree said to have been blessed by Lehana, the goddess of Beauty, Nature, and Growth. The wood is smooth and dark, adorned with intricate engravings of blooming flowers and trailing vines that pulse faintly with life. Its bowstring appears to be made of pure golden light, and when drawn, the string hums softly like a gentle breeze through the trees. Sylvanstring is a weapon of unparalleled grace, empowering its wielder with the ability to wield nature’s wrath while nurturing its beauty.
