Legendary Trial of True Devotion

Prick of the Rose:

As an action, you can use the Fluer d'Adonis to prick a creature with its thorns. The creature must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature falls into a deep, comatose state for 1d10 days or until awakened by the kiss of their true love. While in this state:

• The creature is immune to all damage and cannot be harmed by any means.

• The creature does not age or require sustenance.

• Magical attempts to awaken the creature automatically fail unless divine intervention is invoked.

Aura of Devotion:

While carrying the Fluer d'Adonis, you emit an aura of divine affection. Allies within a 30-foot radius have advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed.

Thorned Protection:

As a reaction when you are attacked, the rose’s thorns lash out. The attacker must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw or take 4d10 piercing damage and be restrained by spectral rose vines until the end of their next turn.

Enhanced Properties (Post-Attunement)

Lifebloom’s Embrace:

Once per long rest, you can touch the Fluer d'Adonis to a creature that has died within the last hour. The rose blooms brilliantly, casting True Resurrection on the target without requiring any components.

Keeper of Hearts:

While attuned to the Fluer d'Adonis, you can cast Zone of Truth at will. Creatures within the zone are compelled to speak from their hearts, revealing their deepest desires and feelings.

Petal of Protection:

Once per short rest, you can pluck a petal from the rose and gift it to an ally. While the petal remains on their person, they gain resistance to all damage for 1 minute and regain 2d10 hit points at the start of their turn.

Special Ability: Love’s Test

Once per long rest, you can invoke Love’s Test, creating a divine challenge for those bound by affection:   Choose up to three creatures within 60 feet of you. These creatures are forced to confront their deepest emotions, both joyful and painful. Each creature must make a DC 20 Charisma saving throw:

• On a failed save, they are overwhelmed by the weight of their feelings, becoming incapacitated for 1 minute and taking 6d10 psychic damage.

• On a successful save, they gain 10 temporary hit points and have advantage on all saving throws for the next 10 minutes.

• If two creatures are bonded by genuine love, their connection grows stronger. For 1 hour, they share senses, hit points, and the ability to cast spells through one another as though they were one being.

The Fluer d'Adonis is a single, flawless rose that radiates a soft, otherworldly glow. Its petals shimmer like silk, shifting between hues of deep crimson and gentle pink. The stem is adorned with delicate but razor-sharp thorns, glistening as though coated in morning dew. This rose is said to have been plucked from the garden of Edona, goddess of Love, Pleasure, Passion, and Beauty, and carries with it the divine power to weave bonds of true love—or to challenge the heart’s devotion.

Legend tells that those pricked by the rose’s thorns fall into a dreamless slumber, a state of divine stasis from which they can only be awakened by the kiss of their true love, a testament to the enduring power of genuine affection.
