Druzh’var

Weapon

Legendary Trial of the Hunt

Bonecrafted Arrows:
You do not require ammunition to fire Druzh’var. When the string is drawn, an arrow of bone materializes. These arrows pierce through magical barriers, ignoring cover and resistance to piercing damage.
Warbound Precision:
When firing at a creature within 30 feet, you gain advantage on the attack roll.
Trophy Hunter:
When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with Druzh’var, you can use a bonus action to mark its bones as a trophy. Once per short rest, you can call upon these trophies to regain hit points equal to 2d10 + your Constitution modifier as the bow imbues you with the strength of your fallen enemies.

Enhanced Properties (Post-Attunement)

Piercing Despair:
Arrows fired from Druzh’var cause grievous wounds. A creature hit by an arrow must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or suffer a -2 penalty to AC and attack rolls until the end of their next turn.
Unstoppable Volley:
When you take the Attack action, you can fire two additional arrows as part of the same action. These arrows target the same or different creatures within range and deal an additional 2d6 necrotic damage each.
Bonebreaker’s Might:
When you score a critical hit with Druzh’var, the arrow splinters violently, dealing 4d8 necrotic damage to all creatures within a 10-foot radius of the target.

Special Ability: Volley of Bones

Once per long rest, you can unleash the Volley of Bones, tapping into the full destructive potential of Druzh’var to rain bone and chaos upon your enemies:
  • Duration: 1 minute
For the duration, you can take the Volley Shot action on each of your turns. Choose one of the following effects:
  • Seeker Barrage: You fire a torrent of 10 bone arrows that magically seek out up to 10 creatures you can see within 150 feet. Each creature must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw or take 2d8 piercing damage and 2d8 necrotic damage. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage.
  • Wall of Bones: You fire a barrage of arrows into the ground in a 30-foot line within 150 feet. The arrows sprout into jagged bone spires, creating a 10-foot-high, 5-foot-thick wall that provides half cover. Creatures attempting to pass through the wall take 6d10 piercing damage and must succeed on a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw or be restrained by the bone spikes.
  • Spiked Growth: You fire into a 20-foot-radius area within 150 feet, creating a hazardous field of writhing bones. The area becomes difficult terrain, and creatures moving through it take 4d6 piercing damage for every 5 feet they travel.
During Volley of Bones, your speed increases by 10 feet, and you gain advantage on all ranged attack rolls made with Druzh’var.

Druzh’var (Bonepiercer in an Orcish tongue) is a rugged, makeshift longbow, forged from the battlefield’s spoils and steeped in the blood and glory of countless wars. The bow’s stave is crafted from the reinforced bones of mighty beasts, while its grip and limbs are bound with strips of weathered leather. Trophies of past victories—teeth, claws, and fragments of armor—adorn the bow, each one a testament to the resilience and ferocity of its wielder.

Druzh’var is a weapon born of war, designed not for elegance but for devastating precision. It channels the unrelenting will of Nidses, goddess of Tactics, Strength, War, Strategy, and Soldiers, empowering its wielder to dominate the battlefield with overwhelming force and cunning strategy.
