Fjellbrjótr

Weapon

Legendary Trial of the Mountain

Immovable Force:
While wielding Fjellbrjótr, you cannot be moved against your will, and you automatically succeed on saving throws to resist being pushed, pulled, or knocked prone.
Earthshatter:
As an action, you can slam Fjellbrjótr into the ground, creating a 30-foot radius shockwave. All creatures in the area must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw or take 6d10 bludgeoning damage and fall prone. The terrain becomes difficult for 1 minute as the ground cracks and shifts.
Unyielding Strength:
Your Strength score increases to 26 while wielding the hammer. If it is already 26 or higher, it increases by 2 instead.
Boulder Strike:
As a bonus action, you can summon a boulder from the ground within 30 feet. This boulder can be hurled with the hammer as a ranged weapon attack (range 60/120 feet), dealing 6d10 bludgeoning damage on a hit. Structures automatically take double damage from this attack.

Enhanced Properties (Post-Attunement)

Mountain's Resilience:
While attuned to Fjellbrjótr, you gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical weapons. Additionally, you gain temporary hit points equal to your level at the start of each of your turns while standing on solid ground.
Earthen Command:
You can cast the Wall of Stone spell at will without expending a spell slot. The walls you create are reinforced with divine energy, gaining +10 AC and resistance to all damage.
Seismic Strike:
When you hit a creature with Fjellbrjótr, you can channel its seismic energy. The target and all creatures within a 10-foot radius must make a DC 20 Strength saving throw or take an additional 8d10 force damage and be pushed back 30 feet. Creatures that fail the saving throw are also knocked prone.
Boulder Barrage:
When you summon a boulder with Boulder Strike, you can use an action to shatter it with the hammer, launching shrapnel in a 20-foot cone. Creatures in the cone must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw or take 8d8 piercing damage from the flying debris.

Special Ability: Mountain's Fury

Once per long rest, you can invoke Mountain's Fury, unleashing the full destructive power of Fjellbrjótr:
  • As an action, slam the hammer into the ground, creating a 100-foot radius earthquake centered on you.
  • All creatures in the area must make a DC 22 Strength saving throw or take 12d12 bludgeoning damage, fall prone, and be buried under rubble (restrained until they succeed on a DC 20 Strength check to free themselves). On a successful save, creatures take half damage and are not restrained.
  • Summon 6 boulders at points of your choice within the area, which can be launched as attacks or shattered for Boulder Barrage.
  • Allies in the area are protected by Terras’s blessing, gaining resistance to all damage and advantage on saving throws for the duration of the effect (1 minute).

Fjellbrjótr (Mountain Breaker in a Nordic-inspired tongue) is a colossal warhammer forged from the heart of a mountain, veined with glowing molten metal that pulses like the lifeblood of the earth itself. Its haft, made from ancient stonewood reinforced with runes of endurance, radiates stability and strength. The hammerhead bears carvings of mountains and valleys, each rune infused with divine energy by Terras, god of Stone, Earth, Caves, Mountains, and Metal.

This weapon is the heaviest in existence, weighing far beyond mortal comprehension. Only those with an unyielding will and indomitable spirit can lift it, let alone wield it. It embodies the raw, immovable power of the earth and mountains, serving as a weapon, a tool, and a symbol of unbreakable resolve.
