Weapon
Legendary Trial of the Lifesaver
Precise Strike:
When you attack with Acus, you can choose to target a creature’s weak points. On a successful hit, the creature has disadvantage on its next attack roll or ability check.
Restorative Thrust:
When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with Acus, you can choose to channel its life force into an ally within 30 feet. That ally regains hit points equal to 2d8 + your Charisma modifier.
Surgical Precision:
When making an attack roll with Acus, you can reroll any result of 1 or 2 on the damage dice.
Lifebane Rend:
On a critical hit, the target must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or have its speed reduced to 0 until the end of its next turn as its vitality is momentarily severed.
Enhanced Properties (Post-Attunement)
When attuned, Acus reveals its full potential, granting its wielder divine precision and life-altering power.
Vital Precision:
Your attacks with Acus ignore resistance to piercing damage.
When you land a critical hit, you deal an additional 4d8 radiant damage and can choose to remove one condition (e.g., blinded, paralyzed, poisoned) from an ally within 30 feet.
Savior’s Strike:
As a bonus action, you can make a healing strike. The next creature you hit with Acus regains hit points instead of taking damage. The healing equals 3d10 + your Charisma modifier. You can use this ability three times per long rest.
Surge of Vitality:
When you drop to 0 hit points while wielding Acus, you can immediately regain hit points equal to 10d10 and rise to your feet. This ability recharges after a long rest.
Special Ability: Thread of Life
Once per long rest, you can invoke the full power of Acus to manipulate the threads of life itself. As an action:
- Choose up to 5 creatures within 60 feet.
- Allies regain hit points equal to half their maximum hit points and gain resistance to all damage for 1 minute.
- Hostile creatures must succeed on a DC 22 Constitution saving throw or take 8d10 radiant damage and be stunned until the end of their next turn. On a successful save, they take half damage and are not stunned.
When the ability ends, a faint golden thread connects the creatures you healed to you for 1 hour, granting them advantage on death saving throws.
Acus, the Rapier of Precision, is a divine weapon crafted by Vitalis, the god of Life, Medicine, and Healing. Its blade is impossibly thin and sharp, resembling a needle forged from gleaming silver, with faint golden veins coursing along its surface. The hilt is intricately adorned with vines and floral patterns, signifying its connection to life and renewal. Acus is not only a weapon of precision in battle but also a tool of delicate care, capable of delivering both death and salvation with unparalleled accuracy.
