Dark elf
Dark elves are familiar with the shadows and grow up learning how to fit in amongst them. They are experts of disguise and deception. A dark elf sees the natures of others while masterfully hiding their own. They are mysterious and virtually unrivaled with their stealth. Their very nature makes them highly suspected by some and highly revered by others.

Hide Motive Your character has an innate skill in stoicism which allows them to masterfully hide their feelings from others. Add a special skill called stoicism with an expertise bonus. A View into the Heart Your character is highly skilled in reading the feelings and motivation of others. Add an expertise bonus in insight to your character. Merge into Darkness Your character is extremely skilled in stealth. Add an expertise to stealth. Your character is capable of merging into the darkness as if they were a part of the shadows itself. Creatures with darkvision are unable to see you, but this skill is only able to be used at night or in dark settings. In light or lowlight you run the risk of being spotted (the skill will not work in light, roll at disadvantage in lowlight). This skill can only be active for one round at a time and can only be used five times a day. After which you must complete a long rest before using this skill again. Superior Darkvision Your innate connection to the shadow grants you superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray. Connection to Darkness and Shadow Your character feels especially at home with magic connected to darkness and shadow. They roll a +2 on spells connected to this element. Keen Senses You have proficiency in the Perception skill. Fey Ancestry You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep.
