Deadlight

Create a light that exhausts your enemies

Duration: 1 min./level
Targets: Object touched
Componenent: V, S

Description

You touch an object when you cast this spell, causing the object to shed normal light in a 40-foot radius. This illumination increases the light level for an additional 40 feet by one step (darkness becomes dim light, dim light becomes normal light). This light saps the vitality of your enemies. Creatures that are hostile to you and end their turn within the light must make a Fortitude save or become fatigued (or exhausted, if already fatigued, such as from a previous round of exposure to a Deadlight spell). Leaving the radius removes the condition, but if they come into contact with the light again they become fatigued (or exhausted) once more.   If Deadlight is cast on a small object that is then placed inside or under a light-proof covering, the spell’s effects are blocked until the covering is removed.   Deadlight brought into an area of magical darkness (or vice versa) is temporarily negated, so that the otherwise prevailing light conditions exist in the overlapping areas of effect.   This spell does not trigger a Pepuali's light fascination if they worship Glojarl.   Deadlight counters or dispels any darkness spell of equal or lower level, such as darkness.
