Augments

You may choose two augmentations to apply to yourself during character creation. A few examples of augmentations are provided below. As you level up, you may take a new augment instead of an ability score increase or a feat.   Skin of Steel: You have grafted flexible, hard plates onto your skin. You get a +2 bonus to AC.   Hidden Blades: You have installed blades into your wrists or hands that can be extended or hidden at will. Choose one of the following:
  • When deployed, your unarmed attacks deal an additional 1D4 slashing damage.
  • You can load a vial of potion or poison into your wrist as a bonus action. Your blade is replaced by a needle that will inject the contents of the vial into the target of your unarmed attack.
Augmented Senses: You have replaced your eyes with magitech versions. Choose one of the following senses:
  • Truesight 5ft
  • Darkvision (Magical Darkness) 120ft
  • Blindsense 20ft
Sticky Fingers: You have grafted sticky pads onto your fingertips. You have a climb speed of 15ft, and you have advantage on any checks and saving throws to prevent yourself form being disarmed.   Anti-Grav Ankles: You can cast Feather Fall or Jump targeting yourself as a bonus action or reaction once per short rest. It has a duration of 2 rounds.

Magitech Familiarity

You have proficiency in the Arcana skill. Whenever you make an Intelligence (Arcana) check related to magitech, you add double your proficiency bonus to the check, instead of your normal proficiency bonus.

Tool Proficiency

You have proficiency with an artisan's tools of your choice.
Description:
One of the few races in Zhal'forien to not be nomadic, the Augmer live in cities on large floating islands that are chained to the harsh desert below. They express their individuality and freedom by augmenting their bodies with magitech.
