Snow Elves

Also known as the Falmer, an ancient and forgotten race of mer. Hail from the province that is now Skyrim, an ancestral homeland they were forced out of, brought to the edge of extinction by the coming of the Nords. Much of their race were brought low, forced into hiding with the Dwemer, who betrayed their kind and twisted them into the monsters that still plague the dark caves and underground halls of Dwarven Ruins. A precious few escaped this fate though and live on, the last of their kind left uncorrupted.
ability score increase: Your Wisdom score increases by 2 and one ability of your choice, increase by 1.
age: Falmer reach adulthood in their first half century and live between two and three centuries on average.
alignment: Falmer tend towards no particular alignment.
Size: Medium
speed: Base walking speed of 30ft.
Languages: You can speak, read and write Common and Ancient Falmer.
race features:
  • Frost Walker. You can move through difficult terrain caused by ice, snow, blizzards or similar weather conditions without a reduction to your movement speed.
  • Lost to History. You have proficiency in the History skill.
  • Ice Veined. You have resistance to frost damage.
  • Snow Sight. You do not have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks due to low visibility caused by fog, rain, snow or similar weather conditions.
  • Betrayed (optional). Instead of Snow Sight, you have Blindsight to a distance of 30 feet. Within this distance darkness, whether magical or non-magical, will not impede your sight and you can see invisible creatures that do not use their action to successfully hide from you. However, beyond this distance you suffer the Blinded condition; automatically failing any ability check that requires sight, attack rolls beyond this distance have advantage against you and your attack rolls have disadvantage.
    If you choose betrayed; at all times, you will be unable to read and write in any language. Additonally gain resistance to poison damage and advantage on saving throws against poison.
