You aim for a pacifistic approach in most situations, but you have learned that fights aren't always avoidable, granting you the following benefits:
Talk It Out. You gain proficiency in the Persuasion skill. If you already have proficiency, you can double your proficiency when using this skill.
Deescalate. You learn the sanctuary and calm emotions spells. You can cast each of these spells without expending a spell slot. Once you cast either of these spells in this way, you can't cast that spell in this way again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast these spells using the spell slots you have of the appropriate level. You chose the spells' spellcasting ability when picking up this feat.
Non-Vital Points. You can also deal non-lethal damage with ranged and spell attacks.
