This trait cannot be selected after character creation.
You are the descendent of a dragon, or the descendent of someone favored enough by a dragon to have been gifted draconic blood. This heritage grants you magical abilities, but the strength of it also develops as you age, making you more like your draconic ancestor. Most with this trait inherited it passively as the ages since the Adrakian Empire passed without anyone being killed for carrying the bloodline. Perhaps it never manifested in earlier generations, perhaps loyalists to the Pantheon kept your ancestors safe. In the modern day, those of draconic blood are feared and persecuted, though individuals who know you may not be inclined towards betraying you, and some countries are less zealous than others.

Beginning at age 20, you begin to develop patches of scales. You will naturally strengthen this trait as you age, but also as you use your ancestral gifts. Every two in-game years, you will need to make a check using this trait. If you fail the check, you strengthen the trait. You may also expend experience to strengthen the trait.

    -1: You have begun developing scales. You also gain the breath ability of your draconic bloodline.
-2: Your breath ability's usage has developed within you an Iron Physique against the type of magic or effect as the scale patches spread across your body.
-3: You have begun to develop identifiably dragonic personality traits belonging to your draconic bloodline, and a tail has begun to grow. Select 1 positive and 1 negative trait from your bloodline
-4: There is very little of your original form left unscaled, and large wings have burst free from your back. You are now Dragonborn.
