Lady Lysandra Davinstein

Born into the very wealthy VonHodel family, Lys lived a life of luxury and ease. She met Baric early in life and became instant friends. When they were told that they were to be married, she was ecstatic. Her best friend growing up was her brother Jeric. He died in a horse accident at age 14. Her older sister Lydia believed it was her fault. Lydia had already been married to Thomas Longstring, and was trying to find a way into money. Lys doesn't like or trust her sister. Her and Baric had 3 children: Baric III (married to Callie Telsup a wealthy crop owner, Alyssa the most cunning of the children, and Henry a lovable loser whose wife died in childbirth. She has 3 grandchrildren, 2 from Baric and 1 from Henry. She loves them all dearly, but most importantly loves the family Davinstein. She will only be head of the family for 3 more months. Tradition holds that after the death of a husband, the wife can hold power of the family for 1 day less than a year. After that it goes to the next born son (Baric III in this case).   The Davinstein Brooch: Large emerald set in platinum.
