Forged in the depths of Avernus, the first layer of Hell, this sword crackles with infernal energy. Its blade is imbued with the fiery power of the Nine Hells, radiating a faint heat and leaving a trail of smoky embers as it moves. The hilt is adorned with devilish motifs, and its edge is inscribed with arcane runes that glow faintly when the sword is in use.

Hell Sparks (2/long rest). As a bonus action, you can speak the sword's command word, "Flicker!", to activate the Hell Sparks. The next time you hit a creature with this sword within the next minute, infernal sparks will leap from the blade, dealing 2d6 fire damage to the target. Additionally, the closest creature (other than yourself) within a 10-foot radius of the target must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 13) or take 1d6 fire damage. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage.

Avernus's Touch (1/long rest). As an action, you can resonate with the fiery energy of Avernus, the first layer of Hell. For the next 10 minutes, you gain resistance to fire damage. During this time, the air around you shimmers with heat and the sword glows with an intense, burning light.
