Desecrated Idol in Dungeons & Dragons 5e

Desecrated Idol

Wondrous Item

Uncommon

Story.

The little statue was made to idolize Pelor, the God of Sun and Healing. It is located in a long abandoned temple of Pelor. It is crumbling after withstanding hundreds of years of theft and nature.
The nearby, long forgotten graveyard was ravaged by grave robbers and bandits, emitting death energies after being desecrated and no Clerics are left to consecrate it, transforming nearby dead bodies to undead. The death energies (for witch her brother, the God of Undead and Rot is responsible) were enough to corrupt the Idol dedicated to Pelor, and transform it into a desecrated one.

Corrupted Light. Once per long rests, cast Bane at 1st lvl. The spell doesnt require Material components or Concentration.

Story quest

A Cleric of Pelor can perform a cleasing ritual to restore the Idol, by enveloping it in Holy Water in a golden container worth at least 30Gg and basking it in the light of the Sun itself for 8 hours straight.

Blessed Light. Once per long rests, cast Bless at 1st lvl. The spell doesnt require Material components or Concentration.
