The +1 flail is also a holy symbol.

When you hit with an attack using this flail, the target takes an extra 1d6 radiant damage.

As a bonus action, you can speak the command phrase, "I rebuke the Legions of the Night," to cause the flail to emanate a thin cloud of incense out to 10' for 1 minute. All evil aligned celestial, fey, fiend, or undead creatures within the incense suffer an additional 1d4 radiant damage when damaged by you or your allies. This property can't be used again until the next dawn.

Upgrade

The flail can be upgraded by committing great deeds while attuned to it. You must defeat evil aligned enemies that are celestial, fey, fiend, or undead type creatures with the following additional conditions:

• For your first deed, you must personally defeat at least three enemies within a 24-hour period.
• For your second deed, you must personally defeat at least five enemies within a 24-hour period.

With each deed accomplished, the flail's attack bonus & weapon damage increases by +1. It's additional radiant damage also increases, first to 1d8, then to 1d10.

The rounded head of this flail is perforated with tiny holes arranged in symbols & patterns sacred to the Church of Ezra.
