  • Carry the Momentum - If you miss the target with an attack, you can bring the mono-garrote back around and make another attempt at an Attack for 2d4 AP I Slashing damage.
  • Chokehold - After successfully grappling an unaware medium or smaller humanoid target that is outside of initiative, you silence them as part of the grapple. While they are grappled, you can spend an Action to strangle them and attempt to knock them unconscious. The target must make a Constitution saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier, whichever is higher. On a failed save, the target falls Unconscious. This maneuver is always nonlethal. You may use this maneuver once per Short or Long rest.
  • Garrote - After successfully grappling an unaware medium or smaller humanoid target that is outside of initiative, you silence them as part of the grapple. While they are grappled, you can spend an Action to attempt to strangle them to death. The target starts suffocating (if it breathes) and takes 4d4 Slashing damage. On each of your following turns while the target is grappled, you make a contested Athletics check as an Action to continue suffocating the target, dealing 4d4 Slashing damage on a success. Once the target suffocates to death, they drop limp. You may use this maneuver once per Short or Long rest.
  • Lacerating Strikes - As an Action, make a number of attacks against a single target equal to either your Dexterity or Strength modifier, each dealing 2d4 AP I Slashing damage. If two or more attacks succeed, the target automatically fails its Hemorrhaging saving throw and you have advantage on any remaining attacks with this maneuver. You may use this maneuver once per Short or Long rest.
  • Shocking Strike - When you successfully make a melee Attack with this weapon, you can choose to expend one of its charges as a Bonus Action and deal an additional 2d4 Lightning damage and prevent the target from taking its Reaction until the end of your next turn. This maneuver has the Sundering I property.

An easily concealed weapon that is drawn from a spool attached to the wrist, the Mono-Garrote is a single-filament weapon used to choke opponents to death while grappled or slice their necks. The Shedari Alliance, prior to the Cataclysm, employed skilled operatives to assassinate high priority targets with this particularly nasty weapon. The sharpened weight at the end of the spool can also be used to create a whip-like effect or function similarly to a rope dart. It is capable of transmitting electrical shocks through the line as well with its integrated power cell.
