Journal Entry #99: Relaxing in Ironfalls

by Aniks Aliforn

Celuriel is off in the first world and while I have my concerns about the Wild Hunt finding her. She is with her goddess so that eases my nerves a bit. Avariel is sleeping in a bundle of blankets on a new desk as I write about our break from adventuring. I am also writing to keep my mind from wandering on the conversation I have to have with Pharasma. So let’s begin with Drow night at the Inn, and dealing with my younger brother.

Originally I had thought I had picked up Bartending so quickly because in principle, pouring a drink wasn’t that different from pouring poisons. Rikzyr had proved me wrong. Well he picked up bartending easily enough, it was the talking part. That would need some work. Some serious work. The progress I've seen has been interesting.

Part of me wished I had taken him from the Underdark earlier just to keep him away from Vasestra if nothing else. He’s still cautious around me, paranoid would be a more accurate word, expecting me to poison or stab him in the middle of the night. If he was paranoid around me, around Celuriel he was down right terrified. The one time Celuriel had ordered a drink from him, he turned pale.

My attempt at a night of drow had proved better than expected. Sadly we don’t spend as much time in Ironfalls as I wish. If I had I might have known some of the faces I saw that night. Rikzyr was passable if not a bit quite awkward around any drow. Only once I had to correct him about comments made to patrons. Smacked him on the back of the head with a book when he made comments a bit too forward and loud about how attractive he found one of the patrons.

I don’t think smacking him with a book helped with the suspicion.

The Silver Crown's first attempt at a drow night was interesting. It was meant to be a night serving food from the underdark, by drow, to drow. It wasn't exclusive, so other regulars showed up, and people who were curious about underdark cuisine. I had ordered in bulk, in case we ran out but thankful we had used most of it.

Maybe I should ask that shadowdancer from my house. She knows gossip, having her work here might bring more people to the surface and seemed like what passed for a people person in Vaermyrhel.

I saw the whole time Rikzyr had been eyeing me making sure I was not going to stab him. Even paying him had been filled with paranoia. He’s in the underdark now, so I sent him back after a couple of days. I can’t say he’s excited to come up to the surface again, but I think he enjoyed his time in the city. In his own Rikzyr way. We had not picked up anything of note from underdark Gossip.

I’ll have to work on it with him.

It was the same day I brought Rikzyr to the surface that I delivered a package from Nivinle to Cyne. Nivinle had been busy the past week wrangling the other Matrons and keeping them in line. I do not envy her with that task. With her being preoccupied, she handed me a box that she would have given to Cyne. Telling me to take caution when delivering it. While I was intrigued as to what the contents were, I wasn’t going to incur the wrath of Nivinle.

It was the night after that I was when I delivered the package to Cyne. It was actually nice for once being able to relax and catch up with him. I gave him the best description of everything I could, giving certain contracts in infernal. Still we actually had a good time talking. I couldn't quite get over my current anger towards Azyel so I kept part of the conversation brief.

Nivinle’s package has been left on the table between, eventually the topic turned to that. I vaguely shrugged when Cyne asked what it was, telling him. I wasn’t about to anger Nivinle by peaking.

Truth be told, this wouldn’t be the first time multiple people have asked me to watch Nivinle. Given that I spent half my life with her, I knew what she could be capable of. While I doubt she would ever harm Cyne, or do something like poison him. as he presents too big an ally for her. I do not doubt for a second she’ll both try to be an indispensable asset to him, and move herself into a position where her goals can be achieved.
I had spaced out for half a minute as Cyne was talking about Nivinle. Figuring out how I could keep an eye on her better. When Cyne had said something to make me zone back in.

“What?”

“Your sister is my type.” Cyne said, spilling on his drink.

I could feel my brows furrowing together slowly as his words settled in my head.

“Shit… you’d work well together.” I silently admitted.

As soon as I said that, I realized if anything happens between them it would be because I introduced them. Cyne upon hearing that realization seems to consider it as my mind spiraled a bit. As I am not my sister, I could only guess at her motives. It wouldn’t put it past her to have considered Cyne…

Cyne pulled a vial of liquid from the box. I had missed him fiddling with the box completely. I immediately understood that vial, likely many vials in that box were expensive poison.

Cyne carefully placed it back once he saw “What’s with the face.”

“Oh gods she is already flirting with you.” Which got Cyne to smirk in a smug way, which was good to see. Even if it was at my expense.

During our break, I finally got the chance to explore my demiplane. Drawing that card was useful but I had not truly gotten a chance to explore the place till we got home. When I had entered for the first time I did without Celuriel and Ava. I had stepped through a door of darkness into walls of white marble, dark wooden shelves and floors. It felt nice, almost like a home but not lived in yet. The main room was wide, empty shelves lined the round walls and a single staircase led up to a second floor that had six rooms. In the center a tree of silvery white bark and lilac leaves. A small garden of a similar shaded lilac grass had enough room or a table to eat at. Most of the rooms were empty. One side had a bathhouse, the other a tavern. Our Masterroom was the largest room saved for the library.

I had spent the better part of the day stocking the demiplane with furniture. Just to be liveable at the moment. Which left Celuriel to the plane.
The first thing she said when stepping through that shadowy portal into my plane was "aniks why is it empty"

“Demiplanes don’t come with their own library, we have to get the books ourselves.”

"do you think cyne would notice if we took his?" she asked

I shrugged. Not knowing the answer, she had taken the book from him before and I am pretty sure I saw one the volumes of Aletheian History on our coffee table at home.

“Yes, so take in small amounts.”

We had made two trips back to Ironfalls, one to buy new books for her to read, and for her to take books she hadn’t read in a while and move them to the demiplane. As well as furnish the place with things to make it comfortable. It was on the third trip into the demiplane that I remembered I had more books that could technically be moved in here. Celuriel and I had just finished putting out horror novels. Which to be honest, I had not realised we had collected so many.

“I think I can get at least two more shelves of books.” I said almost as an afterthought. Celuriel switched a few of the books, taking a step back and looking at the shelf before switching one of the books again.

“from where the underdark?” Celuriel asked. This time she moved a different set of books. I’ve seen our bookshelves change relatively often but I haven’t been able to pinpoint how Celu likes her shelves. I kept my genre and author but I have very few shelves of my own. I am pretty sure in total, Celuriel has read a small library worth of books.

“In my first house, Claire and I had books in our house. It’s how we passed time on the road in our caravan. I’ve been meaning to check on the place again, and I would appreciate it if I had someone with me when I do.”

She finished putting one of my horror novels, The Howling Saint by C.P. Rooke on to the shelf before she looked back."...I want to read her books when we visit. where is it?"

“Little south west of Port Amarin, we can pack up the books and you can read them while I check on the house.” A smile had crossed my lips, thankful that we would be companioning me.

∴ ∴ ∴

It was strange going back to this house, it had not been long since I had lived here. For me it has been three years since I first met the future Lost Ones, in reality only four or five since I've been here. It had shown little wear since I had stopped living here. There was a small pang of bittersweet nostalgia as Celuriel and I teleported in the front yard. Winter had properly blanketed the house and the ground. It had only one floor, cobblestone at the base, circular windows, and a dark green shingled roof. What wood my house had was painted a very pale seafoam green. I had to paint the whole house myself as Claire was pregnant at the time we finally tracked down good paint for our house. Claire and I had bought the house shortly after my first death. With a wave of my hand empowered with my champion powers, I flung the snow off the roof.

Celuriel had wrapped her arm around mine as we approached. My eyes had avoided a tree I knew I would have to visit before I left. Though I could tell from where Celuriel's head had turned I knew the tree she had looked at, but said nothing. It had been years since I used the key, but it had always been with me in a bag or somewhere else. It slid into the lock as if I had opened it yesterday.

It felt like I had stepped back in time as soon as we had stepped through. I knew Celuriel had seen this place, through visions and memories she had taken from me over the years. But being here was different, you could smell it and feel the creak in the floorboard. Everything had a little layer of dust on it. Since it was a small place, the main room had once been the living room, kitchen, and our dining room. The living room portion was on the farside, and we had added some walls to make it vaguely more room-like. As we planned on giving our old room to our second child. The farside had a bed built into the wall, the shelves Claire and I had were on each side of the bed built into the wall. They were still here, dusty but still here. Two rooms had been off the right side of the main room in a hall leading to a bath, a room for Alain and another that would have been Emily’s.

There was silence in the room, only breaking it with an intake of breath and letting out the breath slowly. Celuriel’s arm tightened for a moment, and I could feel her lean into it for a moment as I held my breath.

“Well, let's get those books off the shelves. I need to make sure the house is in decent shape before I leave again, gives you a chance to read a bit.”

While Celuriel began carefully examining the shelves before she even touched the books. Given that the winter was particularly harsh this year. I had quickly cast prestidigitation inside the chimney cleaning it to some degree before tossing some firewood Claire and I had stored. With a spark the wood caught fire with ease. Slowly warming the house from the inside. Celuriel had finally plucked a book from the shelf ready to begin.

The two of us slowly pulled the books off the shelves. Truthfully it was a trip down memory lane as I plucked a few of the books. Flipping through a few of the pages before setting them in a stack. Celuriel pulled down one and gave it a careful examination. Paying special attention to the most worn out books. We eventually moved the stack of novels to the floor of the living room. Leaving her with her tiny hoard of books, I went to check on the outside of the house.

Besides some chipping on the paint the outside didn’t need that much repair. Fresh coat of paint and may need to replace a few of the cracked shingles at the edge. Otherwise this house had done well in my absence. By the time I returned inside Celuriel was sitting on the floor organizing books before placing them inside her bag of holding. She looked up as I walked in and picked up a smaller book and offered a book to me.

“i found your journal.”

“My journal…ah this journal.” Much smaller than my other books I used to crontical my adventures with the lost ones, this one was a greenish teal.

“what’s in it?” Celu placed another four books into her pack.

“The last adventure Claire and I went on. I haven’t thought about this journal in years.” Before I made a motion to pocket the journal, Celu extended her hand, I gave the journal back. Before heading down the hall to the last two rooms.

Alain’s room had been exactly how I had left it. His bed was still made, the wooden short sword Claire and I had given him for Sorensval still lay across his sheet. I sat on the bed and picked up the wooden sword. My thumb brushed the little impression in the leather hilt where my son had gripped the blade.

Never did get the chance to teach Alain anything about swords. Hadn’t stopped him from running around playing hero. Protecting Claire and I from the demon’s in the forest. They had been foxes but we thanked him everytime he came in cover in dirt. I put the sword back on the bed, casting an arcane mark on the blade. I couldn’t bring myself to talk or even do anything in this room. I just existed here for a moment, before I went to the empty room.

Claire and I hadn’t known we were going to have a little girl, we had a list of names that was probably still in this house. The room had been ours previously, but upon learning about our second child we started making plans to give them this room. The rooms had been painted a light green. An attempt at a tree was made but to be honest. It hadn’t been well furnished, everything we would have needed for Emily to start with. Neither Claire or I were artists but the image was passible. A crib was painted and still had a few folded blankets. On one of the drawers, a book of Aletheian fables Clarie had grown up on. Gently picking up the book a small smile crossed my lips. I could read this to Avariel.
I tucked the book underneath my arm as I walked out of the room. I wasn’t sure how long I had spent in those rooms, I doubt it was long. Longer than I remember. By the time I had gone back into the middle room, I had sat down next to Celuriel who had three books. Each well worn and she had already cracked one of them open.

“Ready to go?”

“are you?”

“Almost…I need to say goodbye to them.” I offered a hand to Celuriel. While she put her coat on I extinguished the fire.

I had locked up the house, and finally went to stand before the three where I had erected three graves. Celuriel again wrapped arm around one of mine as I looked at the stones. The sickness, the curse, that had taken this family from me hadn’t left bodies. Still I had given each of them a grave, though Emily’s had never been given a name. There was a long silence before I spoke, and I do not wish to share these words again. They were for my family and my family alone.

I’m writing this journal in the demiplane now in our bedroom. It’s bigger than the one in Ironfalls, but it doesn’t have a little reading nook where we could look over Ironfalls. Avariel had been running up the stairs in the bedroom and gliding down to the bed.

She had grown again but not much, now roughly the size of Kraia. Wouldn’t be long before she couldn’t sit on my head. I’m kinda sad about that, but really frustrated that this quest took two months of our time away from her. I wonder how much time Celu and I will lose with Avariel because we’ve been tasked with dealing with the shards. We might have succeeded, brought back a god, but the shard will need to be dealt with. We’ll have to leave again.

I have a lesson with Liese tomorrow morning about spell creation, as she found the remaining spells I requested from her. Besides, I need to take Avariel to bed. She is currently bundled in a coat of Celuriel, dreaming of something. Her white scales softly changing colors, cycling through pastel colors. I wonder what my little girl dreams of, flying? If Liese found the spells I asked for, then her parent’s might join her as well.

The major events and journals in Aniks's history, from the beginning to today.

Journal Entry #97: Heavenbound

Out of all the Outer Planes, I never thought I would end up in heaven again. As much as I would like to have slept in with my wife and daughter, we have other things to deal with at the moment. That being the corruption sitting within the Champion of Magi...

Journal Entry #99: Relaxing in Ironfalls

Celuriel is off in the first world and while I have my concerns about the Wild Hunt finding her. She is with her goddess so that eases my nerves a bit. Avariel is sleeping in a bundle of blankets on a new desk as I write about our break from adventuring. ...

Journal Entry #98: Trek through the planes

The Protector removed his greatsword from the marbled ground. The doll that had plagued us now disintegrated. The god was a tall figure clad in a blue and gold-trimmed plate. He had long, wavy, curly hair and deep, warm brown skin. Tyreos' blue feather...

Journal Entry #96: A spot of rest [Text Roleplay]

The dark elf took a deep breath of cold aletheian air, it burned his lungs slightly. In a good way, he missed this kind of cold. The center of Ironfalls had been busy even as the sun fell below the horizon. Before turning on the main road up to the keep, ...

Journal Entry#95: Homebound

For three weeks, we remained unconscious. In that mental dreamscape where we fought, our bodies remained asleep, slowly dying as our bodies reflected the injuries we sustained within the Princess’s dream. Talinde had done what he could to support us. Ho...

Journal Entry #94: Dreamcatcher's Telepathic Bond [Text Roleplay]

Nothing cured exhaustion like a royal palace's entire stock of lavish pillows, but that wasn't necessarily true, especially when they had just faced a shard. It felt like it was helping. Aniks had slowly released any of Pharasma's power he held after the ...

Journal Entry #91:  Shepard’s Champion & The Way

Death's representation was quite on the nose. The lead-up to the judgment of souls had graves and crypts. Given that what we next saw was a large coffin. Subtly is truely for cowards. We carved a path into the coffin, tearing through skeletons.  The l...

Though the dream was fleeting and our reunion was brief, I shall treasure it always.  A once peaceful dream crafted from a dream spirit was co-opted by the Shard. Turned into a strange amalgamation of our dreams. Warping dreams and reality into a shar...

Journal Entry #92: Goth Club & Whiskey

“Whiskey?” The question was followed up with the swirling of the amber liquor in its bottle as Aniks proffered it to Naseem. “Shard-free, I ran this and some other food through the lantern's light.” Pharasma's Champion earnt himself a blink of ...

Journal Entry #90: Terra Arcana and Memories of the Lost

Broke and fragmented, Terra Arcana took a vaguely humanoid shape. Wrapping around her soul, a broken red crystal formed a large part of her body. Fragments floated around her. Scarlet would be a better description of her color. I didn't know what to e...

Journal Entry #89: Judgement

There was a certain sense of irony as we walked into the Next Room, cold and dark, and marveled that the area looked weirdly familiar. One chair was across from us, while our chairs were collected next to each other, lined up in a row. It hadn't taken too...

Journal Entry#88: The Measure of a Life

Traversing the realms, there is always the fear of time distortion. Thankfully, it seemed that my time in hell was rather equal to that of Istralars. The smell of fire, smoke, and brimstone lingered on my body as I stepped through the fiery portal with so...

Journal Entry #87: Hell [Text RP]

The touch of undeath was unmistakable to Aniks, Champion of Pharasma. Especially from his wife - if, that is, this ghostly apparition of her was truly her. Her first two attempts to do something to him had faltered against his protections - for the dea...

Journal Entry #86: Fused and Strange Deals

Having completed another life stage, that is what we're doing. Given the first room's fleshy wall and general shape, it was the start of life. We moved back to the crystal room from the classroom, then down the last tunnel that had yet to go through. Ori...

Journal Entry #85: The child from Jatta [Text RP]

It seemed much the same affair as any other when the group found respite, each splintering off into their smaller groups through which they found comfort. Perhaps then it was odd for Aniks when Burdyr, of all people, would approach him; And not alone. Wal...

Journal Entry #83: Between Stopped Time [Text RP]

With a bundle tucked under his arm, Aniks leaped off the front of the train. On the threat of stabbing if Aniks didn't return quickly he had made sure he wasn't distracted as he gathered pillows and blankets from their cabin for his drowsy wife. Though he...

Journal Entry #81: Scribe of Time [Text Rp]

How many gods have I met now? It wasn’t the most pressing thought in his head when it came to this strange god before them. The Scribe of Time, Aniks had hardly dealt with any Aeons in fact including the Scribe, the only other one he could think of was ...

03:16 am - 27.04.2025

Journal Entry #80: Gods of Time

I have never been one to completely understand temporal magics. That sort of magic has always been Celu’s Domain. That doesn’t make my concern for this other god of time lessen to any degree. The Scribe of Time, as they named themselves, at first glan...

Journal Entry #79: Maskerade in Masdarat

Strangely, there was an outbreak of the undead, unrelated to Shard. I’ve spent the better part of the night plucking the shards of a Silver Orb from my palm. Probably another strange dream in my future. I’ll explain that in a minute. Mostly, I hate t...

Journal #78: Dreamwalker Jinne [Text Roleplay]

03:43 pm - 19.02.2025

I saw him... me. The other me behind the bar, the others saw him too. I thought they had been lying or playing some strange sick joke. Yet every time we went to a new bar, people ask why I look familiar, the patrons, the bar owners, and even the people at my own bar said I had been there when I was in other countries, OTHER PLANES! I've seen my own handwriting and have no memory of writing those words. I thought it was a lie, I don't know what's happening. I think that me is gone, they won't be coming back...

09:50 pm - 03.09.2022

Regrettably, I learned I can keep walking even after I really should be dead. I do not think I should do that again. It's... colder now.

05:25 pm - 18.06.2022

Extra Journal: The worry of a Barkeep.

How far do the Shard's influences go? How far can they see… Licia claims that a shard made an attempt at her life while she was younger, so why not affect the other champions. What part of their lives could have been affected? Or was it a special case ...

05:39 pm - 25.04.2022

Even in the realm of hell, a demigod has noticed me as a bartender. What is going on with my fractured self? I've never been to hell, that I know of. Maybe I need to take that last drink I made before I continue down this messy line of thinking.

04:51 pm - 09.04.2022

Journal #74: The Succubus's Ultimatum

Again shorter journal entries, too much traveling for long journals. Worried our Medimian friends would find our secret via my journals. I saw right, the fact the shard is killed people, taking their souls. Damn that succubus. Our knowing tour guide ...

02:40 am - 04.04.2022

Journal #73: Dancing with Demons in the pale morning light

Upon leaving the Peacemaker, the humidity hit like a train. Lush jungle forests were our arrival point near the coast of the Southern Continent. So an easy to find our way given our notes Elias had given us from the few question we got to ask him. Via th...

02:39 am - 04.04.2022

Journal #72: Another Shard

I wish we could take Avariel with us but I will not risk my child in a land plagued by a shard. Not till it’s dealt with, though it’s looking like I might end up binding another god before this over. Options are limited, research into healing is compl...

02:37 am - 04.04.2022

Journal #71: The Haunted Fey Mansion

The last person I expected at my door was Jinne, it had been two weeks since I returned from the Boneyard. Purposely avoiding the other members of the Lost Ones, I had spent most of my time with my family. I had of course seen them out and about around Ir...

02:34 am - 04.04.2022

Silver has a soul, of course, the blade has a damn soul. That's not the issue, it's the colors. Equal parts silver and black, with red flashes of lightning. I wish I knew more about what a soul's color means. Part of me fears that answer, part of me worries I might already know the answer but refuses to accept it. Silver is my blade, my power, but that power was still gained by touching the void.

05:24 am - 19.01.2022

How is it we've been in this city for not even half a day and we're already involved in something? I swear, we can never go anywhere without attracting attention. If we get run out of this city I will be annoyed, I have things to accomplish here. At least talking with this condescending counsel woman might help out in whatever the others have gotten themselves into. At least using both my titles got her attention. I'll [i]try[/i] and not let nobility go to my head.

04:19 am - 24.10.2021

As fun as it would be to drink and watch the 'fake' date happen. I would rather be sober when these visions happen. So very few drinks tonight.

07:18 am - 23.10.2021

Journal #70: Forging Bonds

Celuriel is thankfully not pregnant. A thought that plagued my mind while I was stuck in the boneyard. Having the ability to perceive souls is quite useful if you're checking on your partner to see if they have a little one on the way. Celu and I have spo...

Journal #68: Return of Black Marble

Journal Entry#68: Return of Black Marble Thrones Black marble. It always came back to black marble. The icy portal hadn't been gentle with Aniks this time; hadn't let him fall out onto a beach of soft sand or into the bed he'd been given during his la...

02:07 pm - 10.04.2021

The dragon egg finally hatched a couple of weeks ago. Been busy doing other things and learning how to raise a dragon. They're a dream dragon and a nightmare dragon. Unexpected for sure, that she flicked between them so I'm going to have an interesting time raising her. Avariel's very hyperactive wyrmling who has tired herself out by flying around the house several times.

01:04 am - 15.02.2021

Journal #69: Broken and For

Journal Entry #69: Broken and Forgotten Shades The Harp is contained, placed inside a demiplane of Azsire’s creation. At least I assume so. I have not been back to the material plane, as I have spent the past couple of days in the Boneyard. Apparentl...

02:32 am - 25.01.2021

Journal #67: The Nature of the Shards

It’s the last night we are spending in Rod of Security, and we have learned too much for me not to write something down. Our second night within the small island to be exact. Instead of spending that last night in a bed in that comfy inn on the island. ...

12:19 am - 10.10.2020

Journal #66: A Friend and A Story

Aniks, having told at least Celuriel, was going to try and speak with Jinne for a bit. She was welcomed to join or she could just continue doing whatever she wanted. Regardless of her choice, Aniks found himself with some fruit in hand wandering around th...

12:15 am - 10.10.2020

Journal #65: Clash of Ideals

Moments are so quick, but some can last far longer in memory and leave a far longer impression. While it was not the proper place for asking. I asked for Celuriel’s hand in marriage. That moment is something I will treasure, as seeing that smile was wor...

12:09 am - 10.10.2020

Journal #64: Ring of Amethyst and Diamond

Having, of course, been a fair amount of time since their last meal. Aniks had taken it upon himself to find the kitchen and at least make something. It wasn’t too terrible to find. Rather small compared to Sigrun’s but it worked. He began rummaging t...

12:04 am - 10.10.2020

Journal #63: The five Stages

We slipped inside the Castle quite easily, Sigrun being one hell of a distraction for the people fighting outside. Ghost and all, with those Silver Orb priests healing those people no matter the side. The Castle itself was of typical dwarven from the pill...

12:00 am - 10.10.2020

I just got a horrible feeling about something, like I was just shivering pretty bad. It's like when you know something's going to happen in the distant future but you're not sure what. I hope I at least get a month off before something stupid happens to me.

05:46 am - 10.05.2020

Seriously the past twenty-four hours have been strange. Even by our standards, more mirrors and the terror that brings, debates about how to deal with our quest, questions that have some implications, I think I was checked out by a saintly dwarven ghost and to top that off. I think a goddess blessed my marriage.

07:06 am - 22.03.2020

Today we learned a lot about each other, a concerning amount really. Licia's list was rather um interesting to say the list. Lots of gods.

07:37 am - 15.03.2020

Journal Entry #59: The oldest sister

Promethea had already nozzled herself into Aniks lap, clucking softy while asleep. Content with her meal at this odd family dinner. Eating with The Lost One's or Celuriel wasn't that odd. To some extent neither was Nivinle, though she kept writing down ...

04:58 pm - 09.03.2020

Once this shard is dealt with and we have some time to ourselves. I seriously need to change my surname to something other than Alas'thil. That and find a priest to perform a small ceremony, as a wedding would likely attract the wrong attention. There is a lot to do once we return to Ironfalls.

07:35 am - 08.03.2020

Journal #62: Discussion and a price that will be payed.

We forgot to drink water. I have not had a hangover that bad in a long time. Celuriel's was likely just as bad as mine. However, I was lucky as she hadn't stabbed me from the pain. We both were pretty miserable when we woke up the next day. Given how ...

Journal #61: The Dreamcatcher

Journal Entry #61: The Dreamcatcher [Text Roleplay] The Barkeep was surprisingly shocked he could keep his drink down tonight. The last time he actually drank, well elven ale was heavily involved. That being said the alcohol had hit him. It was clear a...

Journal #60: A bartender once again.

After all this shrine mess, the fey time displacing us, dealing with the dwarven prince’s scry blocking everything to do with Licia’s Father. The Lost Ones and our traveling company finally decided we need a break. Which encluded a ludicrous amount of...

Journal #58: The sign says it all

Journal Entry #58: The Sign says it all Besides Celuriel's involvement with the fae, I rather hate how easily they just warp the world around us when they need help. Regardless of my vexation towards the first world beings, one of them deemed it an ...

Journal #57: The Trail of the Sapphire Shrine

There are no words, but I could express in this journal that would accurately describe how I felt about Cid. That is a topic that I will get into when the time is right, still something that needs to be talked about eventually and explained. Putting the m...

05:46 pm - 03.03.2020

You know, it is a common curiosity for somebody to keep quiet about getting an engagement ring. To surprise their partner. Well, this temple's trial told her and the rest of the party what I bargained for and what I gave up. Thanks. Thanks a lot.

07:05 am - 01.03.2020

While this Shrine to Torag had shown me a life I could have had, a life with Claire, with Alain and Emily. Memories of that life still linger in my head. Emily was scared of thunderstorms, she would crawl into bed, burying her head into my chest to hide. I can always remember Alain hold his sister for the first time. Excited to be a big brother and wanting to know her name. So many possibilities... But I have made peace with the fact they are not here anymore. I have known that for years and shed enough tears already. Sure it hurts, I am okay with my life now. Pain and All. I will still pick my life with Celuriel; I want that life.

06:31 am - 23.02.2020

While I have raised a child before, I think the challenges of raising a baby dragon are vastly different. While I have known that for a while, hearing the dragon egg hatch has reinforced that idea. I don't even have a name for the child. Does anybody know how long a dragon takes to break out of its egg by chance?

05:27 am - 17.02.2020

Journal #33: The Samsaran and Her Dreamers

After while of being in that timeless room, letting the events of the shards trails shimmer down. Aniks will start shuffling around in his bag till he pulls a single white business card out. Which glowed softly with that strange white light. He will appro...

Journal #??: The Elder Sister

Nivinle Alas’thil, the only blood relative Aniks felt some modicum of familial bond with. Even that might be pushing it since it was more accurate to say, she was the only family that had not betrayed him. Though that one fact did not speak volumes for ...

Journal #??: Dear Niks

Dear Niks, It's been a long time, hasn't it? I know you've been through a lot since we left you, and I'm sorry you had to go through so much alone. Guess there was always going to be something to stop us. If it hadn't been the illness, it'd have been...

Journal #32: The Apology

Journal #44th: Gold is not what King’s Envy

After leaving the lost cause that was the Prince, our goal was now set on the Jade Shrine. Which we acquired one dwarf, which I was not terribly upset with. His opinion of the Prince really changed my mind on him. That was not what we did this morning....

Journal #43th: Soul to Soul Talk
